On the surface it looks like you have it all together, but inside you are hurting and feeling stuck, like the pain might not go away. You are fed up with things not working out, and want to have healthier relationships, but it seems like you keep running into the same frustrating issues over and over again. You want to heal old wounds that are holding you back. Whether you are healing from heartache, rebuilding your self-esteem after a failed relationship, or simply want to work on your personal growth, together, we will identify and change unhealthy relationship patterns that have been getting in your way. I provide a safe and supportive judgment-free space in which you can become more self-aware, and create positive changes in your life that will lead to more peace and joy.
I am a depth therapist, which means we will explore the unconscious forces at work that are effecting you in the present moment. My approach to depth therapy is integrative and holistic, and stems primarily from my belief that each person holds the answers to their life’s mysteries within them, and through a supportive therapeutic relationship, you can gain greater understanding of your own psyche, and improve your relationships with yourself and your loved ones. It’s not a quick fix, but rather a deep look at yourself and how you can improve the way you are living.
The way therapy plays out in the room will be slightly different depending on your own unique needs. Together we will work on identifying the ways in which your old wounds and family dynamics may be affecting you now, while also learning how to cope in healthier ways with the present moment, incorporating mindfulness tools, integrating spirituality (if appropriate and relevant for you), and having some laughs along the way. I take into account each client’s personal world view they bring with them into the room, including but not limited to spirituality, religion, culture, race, ethnicity, etc. I am an LGBTQIA affirmative and inclusive therapist.
I have experience working with individuals of all ages from diverse backgrounds, varying gender/sexual identity, religion/atheism, race/ethnicity, and socioeconomic status, with a range of presenting issues such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, toxic/abusive relationships, anger, trauma, grief, codependency, relationship issues, social anxiety, and many other challenges. I have extensive experience working with adults, adolescents, and families from both underprivileged and privileged backgrounds.
